Bulgaria holds the last place in EU when it comes to doing sports and Malta comes second to last. We built Decathlon’s treadmill – specially programmed sporting device, connected to a website. The idea was to encourage Bulgarian people to run on the treadmill, calculate the combined miles and cover the distance to Malta.
Series of events were launched so everybody could get on the treadmill and others were able to see the progress in real time via livestream on the website. Interactive map was showing the distance we’d already reached and the remaining kilometres to the goal. With special buttons on the website, people watching the livestream could cheer and support the person running.
